Greetings everyone,

Sorry for the lapse in time since my last post. I'm glad to say that all is well and the countdown till my exit from the army continues. As the title of this post indicates, I only have 88 days left with Uncle Sam.

Winter has officialy hit Korea. Or at least it feels that way. The low today was 22 and the high was 28 with some ridiculous winds. I normally enjoy winter but this is unbearable. It is to the point were I only leave the barracks unless it is necessary. Hahahaha.

Last month I had the chance of going to see one of my favourite DJ's, Kenny Dope Gonzalez with my friend Eduardo. The show was everything I expected and more. I have been trying to catch this guy live for sometime. Who would have thought that I would see him in South Korea. Anyway, I managed to make it in the photos section of the clubs website. 1. On 26 October 2007, I had the chance to take a cultural exchange trip with my unit to a ROK Army base. Our ROK Army counterparts gave us a tour of their installation and briefed us on their overall mission. Afterwards they took us on a tour of the Demilitarized Zone at the 38th Parallel. If you are not familiar with the area you should "google" or "wikipedia" it. At the Outpost, the ROK soldiers briefed us on the famous battles which were fought at the Outpost we were visiting. It was pretty crazy to see the border fenced up with minefields all over the place. Then to see the North Koreans on the otherside of the border at their outpost watching the South. I mean, these people stay on 24 hour alert waiting for any sign of aggression. Overall I was glad that I was able to participate in the trip.

Well, this is all for now. I will try and write new posts more regularly. Also, I will post pics on my photobucket and put up a link. Big up to Mimi and Brent who had birthdays last month. Peace and Blessings.
